How Habun Began
Every good restaurant starts with a story, and ours began the way a lot of good things do, around a table with friends.
Back in 2023, a small circle of us kept finding ourselves in the same situation. We loved eating out, but we wanted something different. Some of us craved the comfort of dishes we grew up with. Others wanted to try flavors from across the world. More often than not, we ended up at a place that pleased one person and left the rest just settling. That little frustration turned into a much bigger question. Why couldn't there be one spot where everyone at the table walked away happy?
So we decided to build it ourselves.
None of us came from fancy culinary backgrounds. What we had was a shared love for food, a habit of feeding each other on long evenings, and a belief that a meal is about so much more than what sits on the plate. It is about the people you share it with, the conversations that stretch on, and that easy feeling of belonging somewhere. We wanted to bottle that feeling and serve it to anyone who walked through the door.
The name Habun and the idea behind it grew out of those gatherings. We pictured a place with a relaxed green setting, food that borrows the best from kitchens around the globe while keeping a local heart, and service that treats guests less like customers and more like family dropping by. We also wanted our space to mean something beyond dinner, which is why supporting women and welcoming families became part of who we are from day one.
We are still that same circle of friends at the core. We just have a lot more chairs at the table now, and we would love for you to take one.
